My First Post!

Well, it's Tuesday evening, June 30th, 10:21pm, and this is my first, official blog post. Funny thing is, I've had this blog live for a while now, but I'm so not tech savvy, and it's taken me a while to update and edit my blog. I wanted to perfect it before writing anything. Sadly, it's not perfected, not even close, but I've been itching to write my first post. I love to write, and I should get better at journaling. I can't tell you how many cutesy journals I have acquired over the years; I'm a serious hoarder when it comes to pretty journals. One of these days I'll take a picture of all of my journals and post it, but please, no judgment!

I never really thought about blogging before. I always thought blogging was for the pros, the girls who always took super pretty pictures that looked professional. But a blog can be anything you want it to be. So, here I am! I work so much; if you haven't read my About Me section, I'm in advertising. I graduated college in May 2012 with my BBA in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing. About 2 months after I graduated college, I got a job at an advertising agency, and I've been there ever since. It's a great job, I've learned a ton, but it's become my life. So, I realized, I really need a hobby. I already love taking photos and posting them to my Facebook and Instagram pages. People kept telling me: "Why don't you blog about the stuff you post?!" I guess it just never crossed my mind.

I want to write about anything and everything, even if no one sees my blog. It still means something to me, to have a hobby, that I love so much, that's near and dear to me. I not only want this blog to be about all things fashion and beauty, but I want to write about real life things. Things we go through on a daily basis, that I'm sure other people are going through as well. I want someone reading my posts to go: "Hey, she feels the same way I do, I'm not alone!" We're not alone. So, while I do want this to be a fun experience for everyone, I'll also probably have my serious moments, because, well, that's just me!

So, that said, I'm going to continue to play around with these templates and settings, and I'm going to try to find some more cutesy things to add to my blog. I also plan on making a list of topics I plan on blogging about in the coming days.

I want to try and leave you all on a positive note at the end of each of my posts. Whether that's with a photo, or a quote, or both! So, that said, since I kind of touched on work, and hobbies, and wanting more out of life, I'll leave you with this:
